Ryan, my sweet, adorable, loving man- of- my- life got me a digital camera for my 25th birthday!!! I know you are all thinking that I am silly for being so excited about a camera but my last one got stolen two years ago and I have been dying to get another one ever since and never could find the extra cash or a valid reason with my starving college kid budget! So now I am inspired to take a bunch of pictures and put them on my blog to share with everyone! And, hopefully, I will find some time to make a portfolio of artwork based on my photos which I have been meaning to do for years now!
Getting inspired to do artistic projects is tough at this point in my life. I have limited space to do art projects in Krithika and my tiny little apartment that we share and I always feel guilty spending time on art when I could be cleaning, studying, working, going to class, blah blah. I think that the older I grow, however, the more I find that it is important to spend time with yourself and doing little things that give you satisfaction and balance in your life!
Also, the older I grow the more friends I have that are settling down and getting married and having beautiful babies! I am so excited for that time in my life but I want to make sure that I am not job-less and mostly broke all the time first! Ryan and I are both at a career halt at the moment- I get my degree in December but have no job lined up and Ryan has his master's in freshwater Ecology which has virtually no open jobs right now! :( Please send us some good money-making karma or if anyone hears about some jobs that involve any field of Biology let me know!
Hopefully I will have some wedding plans to blog about in 2011 if all works out!
